Tweet-powered billboard ‘vends’ men’s shirts

In India, the men’s clothing retailer Allen Solly launched its latest collection with a billboard that showcased 60 shirts and dispensed them as free samples in exchange for tweets.

The billboard-vender, created by ad agency Ogilvy India, encouraged passersby to send a tweet with the hashtag #RainingSolly and stand by for a chance to win free shirts.

Each tweet activated panels on the billboard that slowly pushed the shirts forward until they were released. The tweets were shown on a screen, so the person who sent the one that made the shirt fall from the billboard got to claim it.
