TouchGo teams with Cantaloupe

TouchGo Technology has joined forces with Cantaloupe Systems Inc to announce a wireless vending solution for the UK market. TouchGo Technology has already introduced its touch screen, PC-based vending machine and the agreement with Cantaloupe Systems, a world leader in wireless vending solutions provides a truly state-of-the-art vending solution, available on both new equipment and as a retrofit payment solution.

TouchGo Technology’s retrofit payment system incorporates an 8″ touch screen PC-based system, designed to be fitted into any vending machine deployed in the UK. The system uses the Ingenico contactless reader which processes all contactless EMV based payments via partner, HSBC Merchant Services, a global leader in payment processing. The PC-based retrofit system is connected via 3G mobile communications and sends all data back to the TouchGo web-based SQL server for complete data analysis via Cantaloupe.

TouchGo’s latest vending machine is now manufactured in the UK, boasting a 32″ touch screen. This machine communicates via 3G over the internet and feeds all its data into the TouchGo SQL server database and again into the Cantaloupe Systems’ web-based application. The product information and planogram design is created centrally, with full price control and video content delivered to each deployed machine.

All user interfaces are via the touch screens allowing complete control on product selection/special offers, voucher production and allowing for contactless payments via mobile phone wallets, contactless cards and other payment forms.

Cantaloupe Systems currently boasts over 80,000 vending machines connected to the web. Its sophisticated Seed2 web-based application provides tools to achieve guaranteed results in operator efficiencies, profitability and customer service. Cantaloupe Systems will license its state-of-the-art back office solution to TouchGo Technology to provide operators with an all inclusive vending solution that displaces the competition for service, financial control/growth and operational efficiencies.
