An Italian technology called OpenPicus has unveiled Cupflow, an application that facilitates social interactions between people and hot beverage vending machines.
Adaptable to any type of vending machine, the Cupflow platform allows customers to scan a 2D barcode on a vender with their smartphones, log into Facebook, receive their beverage and share their experience with their network of family and friends.
Social media campaigns can be customised with text, links and hashtags. Cupflow claims that each person who shares their drink selection with their network brings in more than 200 views. “It’s a no brainer … the results are too good for marketers to ignore,” said Claudio Carnevali, chief executive of OpenPicus.
