Customers get nutritional information with MyFitnessPal App

Tracking daily nutritional intake during a busy work week or catered event (or buying products from a vending machine) is now simpler for employees at facilities served by Compass Group North America thanks to the contract foodservice giant’s new partnership with MyFitnessPal.

Compass Group’s 7,500-plus menu items are now integrated into MyFitnessPal’s existing database of more than two million foods, allowing Compass’s patrons to access and track nutritional information via the MyFitnessPal app or website when dining away from home. The nutrition app is free and works across Android, iOS, Blackberry, Kindle and Windows platforms, in addition to the Web.

“Joining forces with MyFitnessPal’s valued nutrition service allows us to raise the level of service and show our customers we are invested in their health and wellness,” said Deanne Brandstetter, vice-president, nutrition and wellness for Compass Group.
