Angel Springs, the longest-established national suppliers of water dispensers in the UK, has raised just over £32,500 in a year for children’s charity Make-A-Wish Foundation UK, after setting up a customer loyalty scheme to help maximise its fundraising efforts.
The business launched the initiative to support its charitable partnership with Make-A-Wish – pledging to use funds directly from its income to make a cash donation to the charity for every bottle of water sold and every new water cooler rented.
The scheme has been well received by Angel Springs’ customer base right across the UK, with companies keen to support the water cooler suppliers’ ambition to closely align customer sales with its fundraising objectives for Make-A-Wish.
Angel Springs’ staff have also got into the fundraising spirit, rolling-out a wider programme of fundraising initiatives in order to maximise annual donations and raise awareness of the exceptional work undertaken by the charity. More than 30 employees produced a Harlem Shake video that not only raised over £500 for Make-A-Wish, but also received around 5000 views on YouTube. Other activities have included fancy dress days and various running and cycling challenges.
Make-A-Wish grants magical wishes to children and young people aged 3 to 17 years old who are living with life-threatening conditions. Established in the UK in 1986, the charity has granted over 8,000 wishes to date, and is hoping to help over 1,000 seriously ill children and their families this year by raising £7m.
