A vending machine that meats your needs….

A butcher in Paris has installed a 24-hour refrigerated vending machine outside his shop that offers consumers a selection of fresh meat, such as sirloin steak, pork chops, sausages, and even chicken and eggs.

The meat is vacuum packed in-store by the butcher and refrigerated until the time of dispense.

There are similar vending machines for baguettes and cheeses, as well as for meat products, in parts of rural France, which are designed to bypass the country’s restrictions on Sunday trading.

Naturally there are mixed reactions to the machines, those who think it’s a good way to buy meat after working late and want a steak when they get home, and others that worry that these machines will harm “the social life of communities” and stop people coming into their shops.
