Mobile-device-charger vending machines

U.S. based company FuelRod is deploying its mobile-device-charger vending machines at the San Diego International Airport, extending its market test that started back in July.

The machines vend ready-to-use FuelRods that charge cellphones and other mobile devices without the need for an electrical outlet.

The charger can fully power a smartphone or extend the use of most popular tablets. Priced at $20, each FuelRod initially comes with a starter kit, including connectors for both Android and Apple devices. Once used, the FuelRod can be recharged in any standard electrical outlet or exchanged at a FuelRod vending machine for a fresh, ready-to-use system at no additional cost.
