3 hits for the Azkoyen Group

The Azkoyen Group has scooped three awards – Innovation, Best Machine Manufacturer and Best Table-top Machine – at the industry’s Gala Awards Ceremony that took place on 2nd October in Birmingham, UK.

It won in the category of “Best Machine Innovation” for Novara Proteins which incorporates the latest technologies of protein shake making, which the company claims “guarantees the perfect combination of ingredients, as well as the appropriate texture” and is aimed at the gym / sport centre market.

This recognition is added to the ones already awarded in September by the British consortium AVS, which awarded the brand “Coffetek” (part of the Azkoyen Group) with Best Machine Manufacturer and the Best Table Top Vending Machine with the Vitro series.

The successful Vitro series – designed mainly for offices and HoReCa establishments – covers a wide selection of models with different capacities, functionalities and processes of delivering drinks, from espresso or filter coffee to leaf tea infusions. They are smart looking machines with a smoked glass finish and brushed stainless steel.

The Azkoyen Group has been pretty successful in winning awards, having been recognised by the “Vending Industry Awards” as the best provider six times in consecutive years.

Thirst Link plays its part in charity event

Thirst Link was delighted to be able to support one of its clients, Bidfood, at their 2018 Key Supplier Golf Day.

The golf was played at the exclusive Notts Hollinwell Golf Club and those that played had an enjoyable yet challenging course in perfect weather conditions.

All the supporters helped Bidfood raise just over £42,000 which will be distributed amongst its key charities.

Apparently, over a period of 10 years, with the help of its supporters, the team has managed to raise a massive £294,000 – which is a fantastic achievement and a real commitment to good causes.

Caffè Culture – happy 10th birthday

The team at Thirst Link celebrated our tenth anniversary this year.  We were not the only ones – Caffè Culture, held at Olympia London earlier this month, also had a tenth birthday.

We always attend this exhibition which is an excellent opportunity for us to network with the café and coffee community, to see what’s new in this ever-changing and growing sector.

The focus continues to be on providing quality coffee to consumers and it is good to see that there are more and more independent coffee roasters these days, many of whom were at the exhibition to offer advice about how your choice of coffee blend can make your business stand out from the crowd.

Tea wasn’t forgotten at Caffè Culture, with everything from speciality teas to “Bubble Teas (a sweet drink made up of an array of ingredients such as tea, milk, juice, fruit, yoghurt – you name it!).
