In 2005, Thirst Link Consulting (TLC) was established through Roy identifying a need in the marketplace to provide companies who are reviewing their vending and water services with expert assistance and objective advice on choosing the right solution and supplier for their refreshment vending needs.
Having assisted hundreds of client companies over the past 13 years, Roy and all the Thirst Link team have developed a wide-ranging knowledge of the vending industry and a detailed understanding of the strengths and working methods of all the key players. This has been built upon a good working relationship with all the leading National and key Regional Vending Operators and Suppliers, a select number of Contract Catering Companies, FM & Building Services Companies, as well as all the leading Equipment Manufacturers.
With 44 years’ of experience in the vending industry, including previous roles in General Management and National Accounts, Roy has a detailed understanding of the level of focus and customer care that clients require. During his 30 years working for the largest vending operator within the UK and Europe, Roy was personally responsible for securing contracts with some of the UK’s most successful organisations and then continued to be accountable for the delivery of the on-going ‘fully managed’ service to these clients.
Roy was also responsible for developing business relationships with leading FM and Catering Companies, where he established working strategies and synergies that enabled him to recommend with confidence to clients the most beneficial vending service solution to serve their requirement. He has the ability and commercial knowledge to analyse situations and data rapidly, resolve problems and enhance the service to the satisfaction of consumers, whilst at the same time identifying and then implement working methods that can produce significant cost reductions.
Today, Roy provides a supporting role to the TLC team of Associate Partners who lead the project work undertaken on behalf of our clients. His personal commitment to our clients is prompt attention and to constantly seek ways and means to improve their vending service standards measurably, by evaluating the suitability of all new ideas, products and trends.
