Parkwood Sports and Leisure Group had a variety of vending suppliers, their existing vending equipment was dated and the quality of drinks and other products available to their customers was considered mediocre and certainly not in keeping with the company image. They appointed Thirst Link to standardise the offer to its customers, improve service, increase revenue and obtain detailed management information.
Thirst Link compiled a bespoke tender document. The detailed document required all bidder companies to demonstrate their level of versatility and ability to meet the requirement. On receipt of the bids, we compiled a detailed analysis of the new proposed service versus existing royalty returns.
Our involvement enabled the client to concentrate on other core business whilst Thirst Link organised the whole tendering process on their behalf.
As a result, the most suitable machines and type of service was established for each of the Sports Centres. Our client achieved all their objectives and awarded a 3 year contract to one National vending supplier.
Using our industry knowledge of the best-selling items within Public and Leisure locations, we advised on plan-o-grams, marketing and promotional activity to ensure maximum exposure and sales. We were also able to advise the most commercially favourable vend tariff.
Centralised invoicing has resulted in reduced administration costs to the Company and detailed management information (Performance Reports) are produced every month, thus keeping the client abreast of the vending performance at all locations and, with Thirst Link’s advice, to make changes where necessary.
Thirst Link has gained an enviable position in the market as being the “Link” between clients and the vending operators with a reputation for getting a good job done for the client, but also being fair to the vending operator. Thirst Link works together with the service company to maximise sales revenues and returns for the benefit of all parties.
