Roy Girt

With some 35 years of experience in the vending industry, including previous roles in General Management and National Accounts Management, Roy brings a great understanding of how a major client’s account should be focused upon and the level of detail and customer care that these strategically important client’s require.

During his 29 years working for the largest vending operator within the UK and Europe, Roy was personally responsible for securing contracts with some of the UK’s most successful organisations and then continued to be accountable for the delivery of the on-going ‘operated’ service to these clients. Roy was also responsible for developing business relationships with leading Facilities Management Organisations and Catering Companies, where he established working strategies and synergies that enabled him to recommend with confidence to clients the most beneficial vending service solution to serve their particular requirement.

Roy has the ability and commercial knowledge to analyse situations and data rapidly, resolve any problems and enhance the service to the satisfaction of consumers, whilst at the same time identifying and then implement working methods that can produce significant cost reductions. 

Thirst Link Consulting (TLC) was established through Roy identifying a need in the marketplace to provide major companies with a dedicated focus and objective advice on their refreshment vending facilities. As a consequence, Roy like the rest of the TLC team has developed a wider knowledge of the vending industry, built upon a good understanding of and working relationship with the leading National and Regional Vending Operators and Suppliers, Contract Catering Companies, Facilities Management & Building Services Companies, as well as all the leading Equipment Manufacturers. His personal commitment to TLC clients is always to improve vending service standards measurably.
